G-HILZ.co.uk - the story of our RV-8

RV Formation School - January 2009

Our New Year meet on 3rd January saw our biggest gathering of students to date. It was a lovely sunny day, but a rather chilly start. We had 11 students and flew 26 sorties with 3 students attending their first formation training day. The 24th January meet came after a few weeks of wet weather which left many people with their RV's stuck on soggy, wet strips and unable to attend. It was another sunny day (can't last!) with 8 students and 2 new to formation flying. Here's a selection of photos from the two days.

There are some photos, taken by Doc, here . I also have some nice video of our 3-ship heading home with Si and Jim in the Warrior and James in G-CFET, which I'll deal with and upload.
